Academic Principles & Scheme
Today's society is undergoing change at an unprecedented rate, such as through the diversification of the management environment, the growth of information networks, and internationalization. In this business environment, Japanese corporations are reviewing the traditional company system in areas such as lifetime employment, the age-based remuneration system, and the keiretsu (industrial grouping) system. We will learn about such changes as well as desirable forms of new management.
Business administration is a tool for understanding corporate management, which is constantly changing and whose importance is increasing. Furthermore, business administration has been constantly developed in tandem with organizational operations. Thus, it is not simply about constructing theory, but is also a program for students to learn about actual organizational management sites, which are also constantly changing.
The Graduate School of Business would like to produce new knowledge and ability in the area where learning and reality interact, in order to nurture management concepts for the 21st century.
Academic Excellence
With the rapid development of information technology and the increased speed of decision-making that accompanies it, today's corporate management is undergoing many advancements. The Graduate School of Business is comprised of four departments: (1) the Business Department, which offers courses in business management, organizational psychology, management information systems, business creation strategy, management strategy, etc., (2) the Accounting Department, which covers the areas of accounting measurement, institutional accounting, cost management, administrative accounting, budget control, etc., (3) the Commerce Department, which offers courses on international trade, markets and the business environment, business communication, etc., and (4) the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Department, which covers the areas of logistics marketing, advertising, consumer behavior, media, services, etc. Students will conduct theoretical and practical research regarding corporate management and our aim is to nurture individuals that possess professional knowledge and ability in their areas of expertise.
Furthermore, we provide research guidance regarding research through mentors, as well as instruction for writing a thesis based on such research guidance.
We also invite front-line researchers from both domestic and overseas universities as well as practitioners to hold lectures, seminars, etc., in order to enhance graduate education based on an international network.
