Student Health Clinics
Both Aoyama and Sagamihara campuses have student health clinics offering regular health checks for early diagnosis and prevention of illness as well as emergency treatment, medical testing and health research. Student health clinics also provide referrals to other medical institutions, issue health certificates and other documents, and offer advice and counseling on healthy living as well as physical and spiritual illness and general concerns. Mental health consultants are available on specific days.
Aoyama Gakuin Center of Religion
Established in line with the founding philosophy of Aoyama Gakuin, the Center of Religion seeks to instill the Christian education ethics at the core of the character guidance ethos of our institution. To this end, the Center pursues a range of activities in accordance with our missionary obligations, along with associated research.
Aoyama Gakuin Archive
The Archive is home to an extensive collection of graduation certificates and photographs from the Meiji (1868 - 1912), Taisho (1912 - 1926) and Showa (1926 - 1989) eras, along with historical records of present-day Aoyama Gakuin from kindergarten through to university level. It also has a number of fascinating historical artifacts on public display, including proclamations banning Christianity from the Edo (1603 - 1868) and Meiji periods; an organ brought into Japan by a United States missionary (dated around 1915); some very rare Christian textbooks used in Japan during the Meiji period; and English-language publications and literature texts from the Meiji period.
