국제커뮤니케이션학과

글로벌 커뮤니케이션 시대에 어울리는 새로운 철학을 바탕으로 만들어진 학제간 학과입니다. 글로벌화가 진전되고 있는 오늘날 국제 커뮤니케이션은 더 많은 주목을 받게 되었습니다. 커뮤니케이션 능력과 타 문화를 이해하는 능력을 가지고 다양한 문화를 서로 이어주는 가교 역할을 하는 국제 커뮤니케이터를 양성합니다.
외교에서 친구들과의 대화에 이르기까지 커뮤니케이션이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지, 그 법칙과 방법 등을 연구하는 것이 커뮤니케이션학 분야입니다. 본 학과에서는 먼저 (1)국제 커뮤니케이션을 위한 기본적인 도구로서 여러 외국어를 배우게 됩니다. (2)상대방이 말하는 내용을 정확하게 이해하고 자신이 말하는 것을 이해할 수 있도록 커뮤니케이션 능력을 몸에 익힙니다.
이렇게 익힌 것을 기반으로 커뮤니케이션을 가능하게 하는 '약속'으로서의 문화도 배우게 됩니다. 다양한 문화가 있다는 것을 인식하고 이해하는 능력을 몸에 익히고 나서야 국제 커뮤니케이터가 될 수 있습니다.

본 학과에서는 1, 2년차 때 국제 커뮤니케이션론과 비교문화론, 언어과학 등의 이론적 기초를 습득합니다. 커뮤니케이션 개론 등 일부 과목은 영어로 강의합니다. 또한 본 학과에서는 소수 인원의 교육을 원칙으로 합니다.

본 학과의 졸업생은 UN을 비롯한 국제기구나 NGO, 관공서나 지방자치단체, 기업의 PR관계부서, 국제담당부서 등에서 활약할 수 있습니다. 또한 커뮤니케이션 전문가로서 통역과 번역에 종사합니다.

Students can freely select from departmental subjects, Aoyama Standard Subjects, Foreign Language Subjects (take at least minimum credits required), subjects of other departments and courses in the 국제정치경제학부 as well as subjects offered by other colleges.
