TITLE
【AGU Polyhedra】 International Symposium: “Religion and Science”
CATEGORY
The AGU Polyhedra “Religion and Science” International Symposium will be held at the Honda Memorial International Conference Hall on Aoyama Campus on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. The symposium will bring together participants affiliated with the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion from the University of Cambridge, the University of Osaka, and Aoyama Gakuin University.
Anyone interested is warmly invited to attend. Participation is free, but advance registration is required. This symposium will also be held as part of the third Cambridge Faraday Seminar in Japan, organized with members of the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion.
As science and technology advance rapidly, we are compelled to consider not only what science can do, but also what goals we should pursue and how scientific progress should benefit society. Together with researchers from Japan and abroad, this symposium will explore themes that transcend the traditional boundaries between the humanities and sciences, themes that include the universe, life, education, and social ethics. No specialist knowledge is required. For students considering their future studies or careers, and for anyone wishing to encounter perspectives different from their own, this event offers an opportunity to more deeply explore the questions that matter to them. We warmly invite you to join us.
