COFFEE MEETING

“Coffee Meeting” is a cultural event organized by AGU International Center. The event is hosted by tutors, and International students as well as Japanese students are welcome.

The tutors are doing their best to provide International students with a fun evening. It is a great chance to meet other students at Sagamihara Campus and make new friends. This evening’s event theme was “Japanese ASOBI” (games).

The event kicked off with “Friendship BINGO” for ice break. Through this, students were able to introduce themselves without getting nervous.

After the ice break, the first game was the “King says Red light, Green light”.

Just as the usual Red light, Green light the players must touch the King standing in the middle of the circle during the Green light. However, the players must keep a pose that the King commands during the Red light, or that player is out.
There were various commands like “Red light eating lunch”, “Red light swimming” and “Red light be a monkey”. During the game, though Japanese students and international students from various backgrounds were playing, it was interesting to see some poses were completely the same.

The second game was the “Wisper Challenge”

One member will be using earphones to shut out surrounding sounds, while the other members of the team will try to share the answer using lip movements only.
There were challenges in both Japanese and English, and it seemed that the English one was more difficult, but the teams worked together to clear the challenge.


The next Coffee Meeting will be held in October.
