On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the third Meet Up Cafe of the fall semester was held at the “International Commons” on the first floor of Building 7 at Aoyama Campus.

As an ice-breaker, a quiz game was held between teams of mixed groups of the international and non-international students. The quizzes were about “foods around the world”, which participants had to choose the correct answer from 4 choices to each quiz. Each team tried to find a correct answer together by communicating in English and Japanese. As participants were able to quickly get to know each other, the ice-break session ended in a pleasant atmosphere.

During the free exchange time in the second half, participants enjoyed talking with each other. With hot drinks and snacks in hand, many were seen actively talking with people from different groups.

Meet Up Cafe is an event for international students and all AGU students to interact with each other. It is conducted in both English and Japanese, so those who are not comfortable with English can easily participate. The next event is scheduled for Thursday, December 5.
