To all freshmen for 2020, their families, and all parties concerned,

Aoyama Gakuin University has decided to cancel the entrance ceremony which was to have been held on April 1, 2020, as there has been no sign of the coronavirus spread coming to an end.

We would be grateful for your understanding that our difficult decision has been made according to our conviction that the health and safety of all participants in the ceremony are our top priority, and that the university is socially responsible for preventing the spread of infection.

The status of all the other events for freshmen for 2020, such as course guidance and orientations, are currently under careful consideration, and as soon as any decision is made it will be announced on the university website and elsewhere.
