"Japanese Tea Workshop" Held!

On July 16, 2024 (Tuesday), the "Japanese Tea Workshop in English" was held at the "International Commons" on the 1st floor of Building 7, Aoyama Campus. The workshop was organized for both international and Japanese students, totaling approximately 20 participants, to learn about the culture of Japanese tea and to experience the differences in taste firsthand.
Ms. MABUCHI Asuka, a Nihoncha instructor and representative of "Henge Chashi Marumasa," was invited as the lecturer. She shared her knowledge on the history and varieties of Japanese tea, as well as insights into the tea production process based on her actual experiences. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to learn about brewing techniques and taste differences, culminating in a cultural experience through the tasting of matcha, sencha, and black tea.
