UNIVAS AWARDS are given to student athletes and teams for not only outstanding achievements in sport results , but also for enrichment of student performance as well as the safety and security of university sports.
Embodying UNIVAS’ philosophy of producing outstanding human resources through university sports, this awards ceremony for students, OBOGs, instructors and teams that have shown dedication to the development of sports, was held for the second time .

1.Person of the Year＜Award of Excellence＞

Tanaka Keisuke（Faculty of Law, Department of Law, Power Lifting Club）
Awarded for：A senior student who has shown excellence in both sports and studies, and is a role model for others.

2. Person of the Year＜Prize Winner＞

Yanagida Hitomi（College of Literature, Department of French Language and Literature, Competition Dance Club）
Awarded for：A senior student who has shown excellence in both sports and studies, and is a role model for others.

3.Rookie of the Year＜Grand Prize＞

Yoshinaka Hinako（College of Community Studies, Department of Community Studies 2nd year, Athletics Club）
Awarded for：A 1st year student who has acted as a role model for others.

4.Excellent performance for competitions and promotion＜ Award of Excellence＞

The online support event for the Ekiden Marathon Race held by the Sports Support Division
Awarded for：Revitalization of the competition, promotion to attract customers and support

5.Sports Management Department/SA award＜Award of Excellence＞

Online Fitness provided by the Aoyama Gakuin University Fitness Center, Sports Support Division.
Awarded for：Showing advanced examples of advanced initiatives in promoting university sports.

UNIVAS (Japan Association for University Athletics and Sport) was established in March 2019, for the purpose of producing outstanding human resources through the development of university sports. UNIVAS intends to strengthen the university brand, improve competitiveness, and further develop the region, economy, and society of Japan.
