On April 24, 2025, Meet Up Cafe was held at the “International Commons” on the first floor of Building No. 7 on the Aoyama Campus.
It was the second Meet Up Cafe held in April, and the number of students who knew each other was gradually increasing. Besides undergraduate students from freshman to senior, graduate students also participated, bringing together students from a wide range of academic backgrounds.
At first, they started with an ice breaker to introduce themselves in randomly divided groups. They shared each other's favorite photos from their phone, explaining them in both Japanese and English. During the free talk, the participants enjoyed conversation over drinks and snacks.

Some students stayed in a same group from the ice breaker continually chatting, and some students were enjoying games such as cards, UNOs, Jenga, and other board games.
The Meet Up Cafe is so popular that it reached its capacity for both international and general students within a few days. Totally, about 80 students participated, making the event a great success.
Meet Up Cafe is an event for international students and all AGU students to interact with each other. It is conducted in both English and Japanese, so those who are not comfortable with English can easily participate. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
