Dominican Ambassador visits AGU

The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Japan, His Excellency Héctor Dominguez, visited Aoyama Gakuin University on April 22nd, 2019 to discuss stronger engagement and partnership between Christian universities in his country and Japan. Vice President for International Affairs Professor Tsutomu Kikuchi welcomed the delegation.

AGU’s Vice President and the International Center also exchanged ideas with His Excellency on possible collaboration in such areas as tourism and sports; the Dominican Republic is known for strong tourism and their excellent baseball players are prominent in Japanese leagues while AGU itself has a very successful baseball team.

“I hope this visit will open the door for young people in both countries to collaborate together,” Ambassador Dominquez said. Professor Kikuchi replied, “AGU is very happy to start greater collaboration with the Dominican Republic.”

AGU would like to express our gratitude to His Excellency for his visit and his interest in cooperation with AGU.
