From Monday, November 11, 2019 to Monday, January 6, 2020, a candle illumination event will be held on the Aoyama Gakuin University Aoyama Campus. Even though this campus is located along the busy Aoyama-dori Boulevard, one step through the main gate will transport you to another world of historical buildings enveloped in the soft glow of candlelight.

The Christmas tree illumination ceremony will take place on Friday, November 29, 2019. In honor of the 70th anniversary of the University's founding, this year's tree will be decorated with approximately 441 small lights of various types as well as roughly 160 candles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere unique from that of previous years.

This holiday illumination display may not be as flashy as its counterparts in shopping centers and similar throughout the city, but the tree's dignified appearance and the gentle atmosphere set aglow by candlelight create the perfect place to spend a bit of quiet time.
