(School of International Politics, Economics and Communication) Professor Kajisa Kei’s publication receives three awards.

A publication by Professor Kajisa Kei (Department of International Economics, School of International Politics, Economics and Communication) entitled "Community, State, and Market in Economic Development: Changing Roles in Modernizing Asian Villages " (Nippon Hyoronsha, 2020) in addition to the Academic Award 2020 of the Japan Society For International Development, received the following three awards:
Academic Award 2021, Agricultural Economics Society of Japan.
MASAYOSHI OHIRA Memorial Foundation 37th Ohira Memorial Prize.
42nd Institute of Developing Countries Research Encouragement Award, Institute of Developing Economies, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
This award-winning research book is a work based on data and extensive field research from Asia that provides a detailed empirical analysis of the roles to be played by communities, nations, and markets in societies confronted with the challenges of "population drain from rural areas to cities" and "community dysfunction."
