International Communication Course

Introduction to International Communication I & II
This course provides an overview of various fields of international communication. In the first semester, students will learn about the relationship between language and culture, as well as basic theories of intercultural communication. In the second semester, students will learn about international negotiations, conflict resolution methods, and media literacy. All lectures are conducted in English, and this is an important subject for all students in the School of School of International Politics, Economics and Communication.
Research Methods in Communication
Students will learn about the significance of social research and an overview of various specific social research methods (questionnaire surveys, case studies, fieldwork, interviews, etc.) within the framework of communication research. This is one of the subjects for the certification of a social researcher that can be acquired in this course, and can be considered a required subject when creating a research plan.
Intercultural Communication
This course takes the communication studies course content learned in the first and second years to a step further and teaches theories of intercultural communication. Topics covered include self-concept, identity, intercultural adaptation and transformation, cultural patterns, face and conflict, etc. All lectures are conducted in English, and at the end of the semester, students will give group research presentations with international students.
