MESSAGE
College of Education, Psychology and Human Studies is composed of Department of Education and Department of Psychology. In reality, the career paths of our graduates are very diverse.
Education and psychology are broad and profound academic fields that comprehensively investigate "human beings" from various perspectives. They are not limited to simply nurturing professionals. "Education" is not limited to school, but is a universal activity that we are involved in throughout our lives, and "psychology" is not only important when consulting with a counselor, but is the very workings that exist within us in our daily lives.
In order to gain a deeper understanding of humans, it is essential to acquire and utilize knowledge in various fields related to humans. In College of Education, Psychology and Human Studies, many faculty members with diverse areas of expertise work together to carry out research and educational activities. One of the distinctive features of this faculty is that it embodies the meaning and significance of learning while linking education and psychology.

After enrolling, students first acquire liberal arts, including language skills, while also building a solid foundation in education and psychology, and then gradually delve into areas of interest. By the time they graduate, they will have a wide range of knowledge and a deep level of expertise.
In this faculty, by learning both practice and theory in an optimal balance, students can acquire the ability to see the essence of things while responding to changes in the world. Graduates who have studied education and psychology, which are academic fields that pursue "human beings," are active not only in specialized professions but also in various aspects of society. This is because there are always people in any community, from families, schools, and companies to regions and nations, and society is made up of people interacting with each other and acting together.
As robots and AI are used everywhere, there is lively debate about "what humans do, can, and should do." There has never been a time when "what does it mean to be human" has been questioned as much as it is now. The importance of education and psychology is sure to increase. Graduates of this faculty who have a deep understanding of humans and a constant desire to create a "society where everyone can live happily" are expected to play an active role as servant leaders who will create the next generation.
