Subject Name Features
Specialized Course in Social Information Studies Veteran instructors will use their skills to explain the trends and key points of the field. This will allow students to understand social informatics in general and learn about multiple perspectives and issues. This course is available to students in both the Social Informatics Course and the Human Innovation Course, and is held every other Saturday during the second and third periods.
Applied Economics I After reviewing the main theories of econometrics, students will conduct quantitative analysis of real economic phenomena. Using macroeconomic databases, students will construct econometric models and time series models and attempt to make economic forecasts. Students will also learn about world economic models linking major countries and international input-output.
Special Lecture on Behavioral Science Behavioral science is a field that deals with human decision-making in general, including psychology, sociology, and economics. In particular, we will conduct experimental games that reveal human cognitive biases and psychological tendencies, and discuss the process by which humans acquire sociality.
Specialized Course in System Analysis and Design Based on the understanding that information systems are a "mechanism" that supports the activities of various organizations such as companies, government agencies, and local communities, this course will teach about the phases of planning and planning useful information systems, business process analysis activities, information system design activities, and related methods.
