Message from the Dean

Our Graduate Graduate School of Science and Engineering consists of one major and eight specialized courses, and graduates around 250 master's degree students every year who are active in a wide range of fields.
In addition, the doctoral program actively accepts working adults and foreigners, and among a diverse range of human resources, each individual works hard to acquire high levels of expertise through cutting-edge research in their respective fields. In addition, the university has four advanced research centers (Center for Advanced Technology (CAT), Center for Advanced information Technology Research (CAIR), Life Science Research Center (LSC), and Instrumental Analysis Center), and has achieved numerous results with the basic principles of "world-leading research" and "research open to the outside world" by utilizing cutting-edge hardware and the educational and research capabilities of each faculty member. In addition, based on the research seeds created in this rich research environment, the university actively exhibits at technology exhibitions and conducts many collaborative research projects with companies.

In terms of lecture courses, we offer a curriculum that allows students to take subjects such as science and technology English, science and technology ethics, environment, and welfare without being confined to a particular field of expertise, contributing to the development of human resources with a broad perspective. In addition to the rich curriculum, we have established support systems such as the "Special Grant Scholarship System (Master's Course: Internal Advancement Only)" which provides full or half tuition exemption and the "International Conference Participation Support System" which supports participation in international conferences. In the doctoral course, we have a wide range of support systems, such as the "Young Researcher Development Scholarship (under 30 years old)" which provides tuition equivalent, the "Graduate Student Assistant System (paid 160,000 yen/month)" which employs doctoral course students as assistants, and the "Early Eeagle System (research grant 250,000 yen/year)" which is an internal competitive research grant. Thanks to the above support systems, the internal advancement rate to the master's course will exceed 50% in 2024, and the number of students challenging the doctoral course is increasing.

Graduate students who have engaged in cutting-edge research in this comprehensive support system, curriculum, and research environment have been highly praised for their expertise in a variety of fields and industries after graduation. In the comprehensive research environment of Graduate School of Science and Engineering we hope you will develop your solid skills and spread your wings and soar into the world.
