French Literature/Language Major
Since its founding in 1966, Department of French Literature and Language has striven to train researchers who have a high level of humanistic literacy and can grasp problems from a broad, critical perspective, while adhering to the department's philosophy of exploring humanity through literature. The liberal spirit of knowledge has always been the foundation of this department.
Our full-time teaching staff covers a wide range of periods and fields in French literature, and we have an excellent system for academically studying French, with several classes taught by native French speakers. We strive to be an open academic space, encouraging lively intellectual exchange between faculty and students.
