*Although the grant project period has ended, this initiative will continue as an in-house project at our university.

Business Overview

The "Sharing the quality of management education programs through inter-university collaboration and development of a mutual evaluation system" project, selected as part of the Strategic University Collaboration Support Program for Enhancing University Education in FY2009, is an initiative to develop a mutual evaluation system to guarantee the quality of management education programs for the development of human resources with excellent management skills. In order to respond to changes in the business environment caused by the global economic downturn, it is an urgent task to develop human resources with excellent management skills who have acquired strong leadership and creativity to innovate the business environment. This initiative aims to develop human resources with excellent management skills by promoting the sharing of distinctive and excellent management education programs of the collaborating schools, and to develop a "mutual evaluation system" that guarantees the quality of education in management education programs to ensure this realization.

the purpose

The overall objective of this project is to improve management education programs in an age of accelerating social, economic, and cultural globalization, and to develop human resources with excellent management skills in order to contribute to our university's educational objective of "fostering human resources with the wisdom and ability to discover and solve problems on their own with correct awareness based on a global perspective." In order to meet the demands of the globalization era, it is urgent to systematize the management education programs and management training programs offered by universities and companies, etc., and it is essential to guarantee the quality of management education and training programs. This subsidy project will develop a mutual evaluation system that guarantees the quality of management education programs by promoting the sharing of unique management MBA education programs that meet the demands of the times at partner schools.

Another purpose of Professional Graduate Schools of Management from 2010 and expand these efforts into a university-wide initiative, thereby strengthening the human resource development functions of Professional Graduate Schools of Management, which aims to cultivate human resources with problem-solving skills and a global perspective, which is the educational objective of our university.

The partner school (Nanzan University) aims to develop a program that fosters business professionals who can demonstrate their strengths in "manufacturing and logistics" and "collaboration with companies in China and other Asian countries and regions," which are the obvious needs of the local industry and community in the Tokai region, and will improve the MBA education program through collaboration with the local community, particularly the industrial sector, and share the results with other partner schools. As a prerequisite for this, the school will participate in the development of a "mutual system" that guarantees the quality of the management education programs at each university.

Our partner school (Kwansei Gakuin University) offers a course to obtain an MBA in English. In the international management course, all lectures are conducted in English, but there are two types of students: those whose native language is Japanese and those whose native language or primary language is English.
By developing classes that use English teaching materials to teach management issues related to Japanese companies, we will develop methods for teaching Japanese business practices overseas, develop teaching materials and faculty skills that are fully applicable worldwide, and actively conduct comparative studies with overseas business schools. In order to have the results of this learning evaluated by companies, we will conduct internships and surveys of needs from companies with which we have close ties.
