Master's Program

  • Master's Program

    The requirements for completing the master's program are to study for at least two years, acquire the required number of credits, receive necessary research guidance, pass a foreign language certification test, and pass the review of the master's thesis or specific research results and the final exam. There are two ways to complete the program: (1) "master's thesis research" and (2) "research project," and the requirements for completion differ depending on the method.
    "Master's thesis research" is a method of completing a master's thesis by writing a thesis under the guidance of a research supervisor and passing the thesis examination.
    "Problem research" is a method of completion in which students create the results of their problem research and pass an examination.

  • 01. Master's Thesis Research
    The 30 credits required for graduation are broken down as follows: 2 credits for "Seminar I" (placed in the second year), 6 credits for "Seminar II" as compulsory subjects, 12 credits for elective compulsory subjects from groups A and B, and 10 credits for elective subjects from groups A through C.
  • 02. Research Topics
    The 38 credits required for graduation are broken down as follows: 2 credits for "Seminar I" (placed in the second year), 6 credits for "Seminar II" as compulsory subjects, 18 credits for elective subjects from groups A and B, and 12 credits for elective subjects from groups A through C.

Completion Requirements

To complete the course, students must complete the required number of years of study, pass one foreign language certification test, pass the doctoral dissertation review and the final exam (oral examination), and also earn four credits in lecture courses and 12 credits in research supervision courses.

The standard period for completing a doctoral program is three years (Article 10 of the Graduate School Regulations), however, those who have demonstrated outstanding research achievements may be able to complete the program within three years.
However, in this graduate school, there is a set process for submitting a doctoral thesis, and students cannot submit a doctoral thesis without going through this process.

To complete the course, you must pass the following exams. Note that when taking each of the following exams, the members of your research guidance committee, which consists of five faculty members including your research supervisor and assistant research supervisor, must be decided, so when applying, be sure to check with the Academic Academic Affairs Division that the members of your research guidance committee have been decided.
