IELTS Preparation Course
When applying to study abroad at one of our partner universities or accredited universities, you will need to submit a TOEFL iBT or IELTS score as proof of English proficiency. The International Center plans and implements IELTS preparation courses to support students in obtaining the scores required for their applications. The International Center covers part of the cost. Please take advantage of this, along with the reward system in which the university covers part of the costs for students who take the university's exam and obtain an IELTS score of 5.5 or above, to make your study abroad a reality.
Aoyama Gakuin University IELTS Special Venue Exam
In 2025, two special IELTS test centres are scheduled to be held at Sagamihara Campus.
*There will be no on-campus exams held at Aoyama Campus this year.

IELTS Reward
This is a system to provide a bonus to students who obtain an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher in the IELTS on-campus test hosted by the International Center or the IELTS or IELTS for UKVI test (Academic Module) held off-campus on a specified date. Please do your best to aim for a high score. The IELTS on-campus test is only available to Aogaku, but the test results are official scores. The amount of the bonus and the number of recipients in the past are as follows.
The exam dates will be announced on the student portal.

Payment conditions
IELTS internal exam score
The score must be from an IELTS or IELTS for UKVI test administered off-campus on a date specified by the International Centre.
Undergraduate, graduate and Professional Graduate Schools enrolled at our university (excluding exchange students, course students, students School of Global Studies and Collaboration, and those taking IELTS at other locations)
Apply for the scholarship during the specified period (notification will be sent via the student portal in July ⇒ applicants will submit an application ⇒ payment will be made around late September)
If you take the exam multiple times, you can only apply once per year.
