Foreign Language Laboratory

The Foreign Language Laboratory (FLL) is an educational facility established in 1961 with the aim of improving language education at Aoyama Gakuin University. It has CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) classrooms equipped with PCs and AV equipment on both campuses. The CALL classrooms employ a fully digital CALL system and are equipped with numerous learning functions that make language classes more effective, such as simultaneous distribution of audio and video materials and e-learning.

This facility is used to improve the skills necessary for becoming a global citizen, and is utilized not only for English but also for various communication-related classes in French, German, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Russian, and other languages. It is also widely used for classes on the theory and methods of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, and research on film script translation.

For these classes, the library (Building 18, Aoyama Campus) and the AV corner (Bandai Mandai Memorial Library Building B, Sagamihara Campus) are stocked with a wide range of audio and video materials covering various fields, from introductory to advanced courses in each language, to international news, movies, and communication-related materials.
In addition, AV studios and other facilities are also available.
