University Structure and Regulations
In order to set university-wide ethical standards for "research involving human subjects," our university has established a Research Ethics Review Committee based on the "Aoyama Gakuin University Ethics Regulations for Research Involving Human Subjects" and the "Aoyama Gakuin University Research Ethics Review Committee Operating Detailed Rules." The Research Ethics Review Committee has established an ethics review system with the aim of protecting the dignity and human rights of research subjects and promoting ethically, legally, and socially appropriate research.

When a full-time faculty member or graduate student of the University conducts new research involving human subjects, they must apply to the Research Ethics Committee in advance (before the research begins) and obtain approval.
