Comprehensive Cultural Policy Studies

Comprehensive Cultural Policy Studies

In Department of Cultural and Creative Studies, students can acquire the ability to proactively disseminate information about culture, art, and society, primarily from Japan, to the world through rigorous small-class instruction.
This department is a graduate school of research operated as a five-year doctoral program with the aim of training the next generation of researchers who will lead the new academic field of "comprehensive cultural policy studies" in the 21st century, as well as leaders in highly specialized fields.
Those trained in the doctoral program are expected to take on the role of leaders in project-based education and research for those trained in the master's program, and this will build an organic relationship in which they will be positioned as part of the doctoral program's education and research program.
Students who have a master's degree can transfer to School of Cultural and Creative Studies Department of Cultural and Creative Studies, but since "Cultural Policy Studies" is not limited to existing academic fields but covers a wide and complex field, it is also possible for students from other faculties to proceed on.
