TITLE

グローバル・エキスパート・プログラム「プロジェクト・マネジメント」公開講義(英語)の参加者募集について

2010年度に新設された国際政治経済学研究科グローバル・エキスパート・プログラム(GLEP)は、米国のAndrews Universityとの提携で、国際協力の現場で求められる人材育成として「プロジェクト・マネジメントI・II・III」の3つの講義を公開いたします。特にGLEPとして、今後、日本のNGOの人材育成をNGOの皆様と提携していきたいと願っています。NGO関係者でフィールドの経験のある方々、またこれから国際開発を学んでみたいと考えておられる方、または、これからフィールドに派遣されようとされている方などNGOの方々のスキルアップとして公開します。

参加資格 下記1~3のすべてを満たす方
1.大学卒業者、またはそれと同等の資格があること
2.英語力:目安は、TOEFL(PBT:600)、(CBT:250)、(IBT:100)
または、それと同等の英語力があること
3.所属団体の代表、または上司の推薦状を提出可能なこと

講義内容

I.Needs Assessment & Capacity Mapping

 

Course Topics:
・Define needs assessment and capacity mapping for both organizational and community settings
・Define stakeholders and steps in a stakeholder analysis
・Explore appreciative inquiry as tool for strengths-based assessment
・Understand empowerment in the context of participatory community assessment
・Identify sources for data collection and the use of triangulation
・Interviewing skills, participant observation and awareness of ethical issues
・Explore the use of GIS as a tool for mapping needs and capacities
・Develop framework of analyzing assessment results

 

Instructor: Sharon Pittman, PHD in social work non-profit management from University of Illinois
Work experience has involved Chair of Social Work at Andrews University (8 years), Professor at University of Texas and currently the Associate Dean at Southern Adventist University. Dr. Pittman is an international development practitioner and researcher having worked in Iraq and Madagascar with USAID funded projects.

 

II.Program Planning, Budgeting, and Grantmanship

 

Course Topics:
・Project planning involving the Project Cycle Management approach
・Data analysis through a “problem tree” and formulating objectives in an “objective tree”
・Establish logical framework matrix with goals, objective, results, activities
・Define risks, assumptions and factors to ensure sustainability
・Understand budgeting components
・Overview, process and tips for writing a good proposal/grant application
・Assess and evaluate the proposal on relevance, feasibility and sustainability
・Marketing of projects and mobilizing funding

 

Instructor: Frank Brenda, MSA in International Development
Humanitarian aid practitioner with 18 years professional experience in training, project management and administration. Worked in Africa and now heads the emergency response department and team for ADRA Germany.

 

III.Project Implementation and Evaluation

 

Course Topics:
・Definition of key elements of monitoring and evaluation
・Reference to project cycle management and the interface of Monitoring & Evaluation
・Planning contexts of Monitoring & Evaluation (strategic and operational planning)
・How to write evaluation questions for diverse project situations
・Understand basic strategies for recording & analysis of monitoring and evaluation data
・How to effectively disseminate, communicate and learn from evaluation data
・Ethics and quality aspects of Monitoring & Evaluation
・Emerging trends in Monitoring & Evaluation

 

Instructor: David Syme, MPH in International Health
Humanitarian aid practitioner with 43 years field experience in Overseas Development including NGO administration, provision of training and consultancy to a broad range of International NGO’s, AusAID, USAID, WHO, UNDP.
