We would like to introduce a new, general English learning project launched at the Aoyama Gakuin University College of Education, Psychology, and Human Studies thanks to research project grant assistance from the Aoyama Gakuin University College of Education, Psychology, and Human Studies Research Institute. We have established the Aogaku Adventures in English Initiative, Aogaku AEI for short, a YouTube channel which since July 2022 been open for College of Education, Psychology, and Human Studies students. Professor Shihoko Yamamoto, Professor Akiko Takagi, and Associate Professor Corey Wakeling have discussed in various videos topics that will inspire the interest of students. Presently, there are six videos broadcast, and many students from the College have been viewing them. We think that the Aogaku AEI channel can encourage students who feel less capable of using English, or who desire to have a deeper interest in learning about it, enjoy experiencing the world of English from diverse viewpoints.

At the same time as providing an introduction to the experience of English through children’s literature, World Englishes, English education, and etymology, Aogaku AEI also aims to create broadcast content that links students to a more specialized learning experience. From now on, not only students but people from the wider society can view the videos, since Aogaku AEI is now open to the public!
