Social Information Studies Course
Discover modern problems from multiple perspectives and solve them on your own.
Our goal is to train "advanced economic and financial analysts," "advanced and tough organizational managers," and "advanced information systems specialists with a keen knowledge of organizations." We foster highly skilled individuals who can identify modern problems from multiple perspectives and solve them on their own.
The Social Informatics course has three perspectives. From the perspective of social science, courses such as Applied Economics I and II and Corporate Finance are offered to train talent who can analyze large amounts of data using information technology by combining theory and practice, understand logical approaches and theoretical backgrounds, and can provide answers to questions such as "why?". From the perspective of human-society-information integration, courses such as Knowledge Management are offered to train talent who can elucidate human psychology directly linked to economic activity, elucidate the human element in companies and policies, and elucidate the various influences that a knowledge-based society has on people. From the perspective of information science, courses such as Computer Networks and Database Systems are offered to train system engineers who understand organizations and psychology, finance and policy, or are conscious of reflecting social needs in technology.
