Religion, especially Christianity, has a great influence on culture and people's way of life. In Japan, religion is often thought of only in terms of rituals, customs, and annual events, but religion has a different outlook on humanity and the world, and greatly influences people's way of life, their outlook on things, and the formation of culture and society. Aoyama was founded by missionaries who came to Japan, driven by their Christian faith.

Contemporary English literature offers an immersive experience in the expression of language. When you understand literature, you are confronted with the realities and possibilities of expression in context. Works that challenge the foundations of history will allow for a transformative approach to exploring the English-speaking world. Language arts will challenge you to reflect on your own future-oriented ideas and imagination, and examine expression with intelligence and sophistication.

Message:
English is now used all over the world, not only as a native language but also as a second or foreign language. English linguistics is the study of the language's structure, history, usage, and relationship with society. We explore the English phonetic system, grammatical structure, and meaning while comparing it with Japanese, and also learn about the historical changes leading up to modern English, the expansion of vocabulary through contact with other languages, and the diversity of Englishes around the world. Through observation and analysis as a research subject, we will discover the depth and fascination of English.

Message:
English language pedagogy considers English education from various perspectives, including purpose, content, methods, teaching materials, teachers, learners, and evaluation. When learning and teaching English, if we take into account social and cultural influences and understand the process by which we acquire language, we can find ways of learning and teaching English that are suitable for each individual.
