Accredited school study abroad

What is accredited school study abroad?

In cases where a student is unable to achieve their study abroad goals through studying at a partner school, they can select and apply to a degree-granting university or higher education institution that matches their learning goals, and after obtaining admission, if the university recognizes the educational institution as an "accredited school," they can study abroad in a manner similar to that of studying at a partner school in terms of credit recognition, etc. Therefore, just like studying abroad at a partner school, the credit recognition system and continuing course system apply, and depending on the year of study abroad, it is possible to graduate in four years by fulfilling the graduation requirement credits.
On the other hand, tuition fees must be paid to both the host university and this university. Also, in order to study abroad at an accredited school, applicants must make all application preparations themselves, and it takes about one to one and a half years of preparation before actually leaving. If departing in the early semester, the necessary documents must be prepared by around September of the previous year, and if departing in the late semester, around April, and the application must be submitted to the International Center before studying abroad. If you are considering studying abroad at an accredited school, be sure to notify the International Center in advance.

Duration of study abroad

Although the term system adopted by the study abroad destination differs, if the destination uses a semester system (two terms) or trimester system (three terms), the study abroad period can be selected as one term (about three months) or two terms (about eight to nine months). However, if the destination uses a quarter system (four terms), the study abroad period can only be three terms (about nine to ten months) due to the timing of credit recognition at our university after returning home.
