Short-term overseas programs

If you want to study a language intensively for a short period of time, or if you want to absorb the lifestyle and culture of a country along with the language, the overseas language and culture training is held twice a year during the summer vacation (departure in August) and the spring vacation (departure in February) with the aim of improving your language skills and broadening your international perspective on the culture and society of each country, and is eligible for credits in The Aoyama Standard Subject "Overseas Language and Culture Training." A variety of programs will help you achieve effective results.

● The training programs listed below are scheduled to be held, but may be subject to change or cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.
● Overseas language and culture training and overseas internships are eligible for credit recognition in the following subjects only in the first semester of the year following the training, provided that certain conditions are met.

Overseas Internship

This program aims to equip you with the skills necessary for your career, such as communication skills, intercultural understanding, initiative, responsibility, and problem-solving skills, by working abroad in a different culture and environment. English skills are more important than language and cultural training.
The international internships organized by the International Center are aimed at helping students acquire the skills necessary for career development in this rapidly changing era, such as communication skills, intercultural understanding, initiative, responsibility, and problem-solving skills, through the experience of working abroad. They are held twice a year, during the summer vacation (August departure) and the spring vacation (February departure), and are eligible for credits in The Aoyama Standard Subject "Internship." In addition, participants who meet the specified conditions and apply will be given a grant (travel expenses subsidy) of 90,000 to 120,000 yen (amount tentative, limited to one time per person).

  • Q1 When will the recruitment take place?

    A1 There will be a program information session at the beginning of each semester, after which applications will be accepted. The summer program information session will be held from mid-April to late April, and the spring program information session will be held from late September to late October.     A2 Unless otherwise specified, anyone can participate in any program, regardless of language ability, as long as they are motivated and able to participate in the entire training.
